A day in the life of an atLocal Account Manager

An atLocal Account Manager will spend their day managing client tasks and assisting the strategist in planning and executing appropriate marketing techniques across a wide variety of industries. Communication with various clients will often occur throughout the day; whether by phone, email, Google Meet, or an in person meeting. Communication with the strategist and production teams will also take place, as it is the account manager’s role to make sure everyone has what is needed to fulfill the client’s marketing needs. On occasion, the account manager will need to problem solve and find solutions to various issues that can arise when managing client accounts.

Required Skills/Experience

  • - Excellent understanding of small business marketing
  • - Excellent time management, customer service, and problem solving skills
  • - Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills--such as empathy, flexibility, and verbal communication
  • - Organized and highly attentive to detail
  • - Ability to multitask and switch focus between different clients or tasks with ease
  • - Passionate for small business owners/small business operation and growth
  • - Must have your own reliable transportation
  • - Basic understanding of SEO is preferred
  • - BS or BA in Communication, Marketing, Business, or Public Relations

What you’ll do

  • - Establish and maintain strong relationships with new or existing clients
  • - Coordinate efforts of various teams to ensure tasks are completed with speed and efficiency
  • - Work with strategist to ensure that the strategy set for each client is being fulfilled
  • - Balance client expectations and communicate with them on a regular basis
  • - Assist the strategist in formulating strategies and tactics to fulfill the client’s goals and objectives
  • - Use analytical data to evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing marketing campaigns and tactics and suggest ways to improve
  • - Assist with onboarding procedures for new clients
